Carolina Carriages of Harvest Moon Farm, LLC offers you a
white French Vis-à-vis carriage, which seats four to six
persons. All carriages are attended by both a formally attired
coachman and footman for your formal event. The white
carriage is equipped with plush, burgundy upholstery and
convertible top, which can be used either fully open with the
top down or with the top up providing elegant and
comfortable accommodations even in slightly inclement
weather. All of our carriage horses are attractive, well
trained and seasoned. They are used to traffic, car horns,
crowds and photographers and enjoy their job.
Typically our carriages are used either as a grand entrance
or going away, or for up to a two hour time frame to bring
you into your ceremony, then afterwards away to the
reception, or from one location to another. Total
recommended distance either into the ceremony or to your
final destination is usually two to three miles and ideally
within one to two miles, in order to keep travel time
reasonable. Our carriages travel at a relaxed pace with the
horse at a walk or trot at about 15 minutes per mile. The ride
allows you time to relax offering a welcome break from an
otherwise hectic pace of events.
When travel time or budget does not meet your needs we will
meet you at a nearby location to bring you into your
ceremony or afterwards take you to a place nearby for
pictures, from where you can continue with other
transportation. If this is the case, in many circumstances we
can meet you again at a location close to your final
destination and bring you there in the carriage!
The horse and carriage can also be used to transport the
wedding party and is popular for giving rides to the guests
during the reception. Please contact us to discuss how you
